Not diaper related but just an example of how we are such "disposable" society.
This holiday season I have really been trying to be more conscious of what goes under the tree. Is all this stuff really necessary? I was at Costco the other day and saw people loading up their carts with boxes of shiny new toys. Being such a great deal, how could you pass it up? Well, have you ever thought about what it took to get those toys to Costco and other stores across America? About all the hard work of underpaid workers and exploited nations across the world? Most of those toys will probably be played with for a day or so and either break or the kids will be tired of playing with them. And to the garbage they will go, or hopefully at least be donated. This year I have requested that friends and family go easy on the gift giving. I know I don't need anything! Make mindful decisions this holiday season. Choose natural toys over throw away plastic ones. Even better, make your own!
Please take a few minutes to watch this wonderful and informative video. I promise you will not look at "great deals" in the same way!
